Development of Organisational Culture (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student understands the elements of organisational culture, their importance and is able to recognize different organisational cultures. S/he is able to develop organisational culture as an inspiring change agent. S/he knows how to apply different tools in developing the organisation and its dynamics. Effective communication is part of the student’s development work.

Teaching methods

Kurssi rakentuu aktiiviselle vuorovaikutukselle ja osallistuvaan tiedon ja osaamisen luontiin. Kurssin opetusmuoto on ongelmalähtöinen oppiminen (englanniksi problem-based learning). Osatehtävät ja tentit arvioidaan hyödyntämällä Solo-mallin viitekehystä (Structure of Observed Learning Outcomes).
Työmuotoina ovat: aktivoivat ja vuorovaikutteiset luennot, ryhmätyöskentely ja -keskustelut, itsenäinen työskentely ja oppimistehtävät sekä reflektiopaperit.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas. The student is able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. The student is able to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models. The Student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.

Assessment methods and criteria

Osaaminen näytetään seuraavin suorituksin:

1. Jatkuva osaamisen näyttö 20 pistettä. Opiskelijalla on mahdollisuus näyttää osaamistaan kurssin aikana. Arviointi on jatkuvaa ja integroitua. Jatkuva tarkoittaa sitä, että arviointi tapahtuu koko kurssin ajan. Integroitu tässä tarkoittaa sitä, että jokainen arviointi vaikuttaa kokonaisarvosanaan ja mikä tahansa arvioitu osa voi kattaa useita kurssin oppimistavoitteita.

2. Opetusmuodon edellyttämien oppimistehtävien suorittaminen ryhmätyönä. Ryhmätöihin liittyy vertaisarviointi. Maksimissaan 50 pistettä.

3. Reflektiopaperit oppimissisällöistä. Osuudesta voi saada maksimissaan 30 pistettä.

Kaikki suoritukset pitää toimittaa ajallaan. Myöhässä toimitettuja osasuorituksia ei arvostella. Tekoälyn käyttö tehtävien tekemiseen on kielletty ja siitä saa arvonanan hylätty.
