There is a variety of teaching methods: for example, lectures, independent work, pair and small group work, discussions, games, written assignments, articles, and Moodle, Wordwall and Quizlet assignments.

Student workload

5 credits = in total 135 hours the student´s work

6 hours lessons during 8 weeks (48 hours)
8 - 10 hours independent studies (87 hours): the advantage assignments/tasks, homework, independent assignments, information acquisition and processing, vocabulary and grammar exercises

Further information for students

Practice of Finnish communication and terminology related to your field (HR) in accordance with the language skills required in your profession. The content emphasizes working life situations and needs. The teacher guides the studies or recommends suitable self-study methods and materials.

This course is aimed at people with an immigrant background who speak Finnish at a B1 level.. The teaching is intensive during the day, requiring attendance at classes. Studying in the course requires previous HR and management skills, education or work experience.
