Objective

The student
• is able to handle expressions and solve equations and systems of equations
• can draw and interpret graphs of functions
• is familiar with trigonometric functions and can apply them in geometry
• has a good command of vector and complex number calculations to the extent required by the degree
• understands that many engineering problems are solved using mathematical methods
• is able to assess the reasonableness and correctness of their solutions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to identify the basic mathematical concepts and methods included in the course and can solve simple problems related to them.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply the basic concepts and methods included in the course and solve problems that combine multiple topics from the course. The student is able to apply what they have learned to simple problems in the natural sciences and engineering.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student is able to apply the topics covered in the course to more demanding tasks that require analysis or justification.

The student is able to identify the basic mathematical concepts and methods included in the course and can solve simple problems related to them.
