Objective
The student
• can design a product taking into account its manufacturing and material
• is able to read and produce technical drawings, 3D models and technical documents
• can create work drawings, choose correct tolerances and surface roughness considering the component's intended use and manufacturing process.
• can create 3D models and assemblies that can be used for analysis, simulation and various manufacturing techniques.
Content
• Technical drawing and its labels and symbols
• Tolerances and determination of surface roughness and their marking on drawings
• Diagrams, assembly drawings and parts lists
• Weld markings and welding drawings
• Basics of 3D modelling
• Preparation of 3D assemblies
• Preparation of working drawings, assembly drawings and parts lists from a 3D model
Evaluation scale
0-5
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student can read and produce machine drawings, knowing the most common manufacturing methods and materials. The student can model a component and assembly in 3D.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student can read, produce and dimension machine drawings, knowing the most common manufacturing methods and select the right manufacturing methods for the constructions they have designed. The student can produce assembly drawings, parts lists and working drawings for 3D models.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can read, produce and dimension machine drawings, and place surface marks, tolerances and welding marks on them, knowing the most common manufacturing methods and being able to choose the right manufacturing methods for the constructions they design. The student can produce a 3D model of the assembly drawing, parts list and working drawings down to the smallest detail.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student can read and produce machine drawings, knowing the most common manufacturing methods and materials. The student can model a component and assembly in 3D.
