Objective

The student is expected to know the components of the energy use in buildings. The student is expected to know the public rules and regulations concerning the energy use of buildings and their demands to the energy efficiency. The student understands fundamentals of the investment-, LCC- and LCA- calculation methods.
The student will be able to calculate the energy use of the building and the effect of different improvements in it. The student will be able to calculate the profitably of different ways to improve the efficiency of energy use. The student will be able to compile the LCC calculation.

Content

Calculation of the energy use, Energy efficiency improvement in buildings, LCC and LCA calculations. Methods to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
