Objective

The student
• is able to use and apply key chemical phenomena related to laboratory work: the student understands the atomic structure and how elements are grouped in the periodic system
• is able to make chemical reaction formulas with reactants and products and to solve calculations involving amounts of substances
• is able to calculate the concentration and pH of a solution
• is familiar with the most common organic compound classes and certain biomolecules.
