The student
• is able to work in digital learning environments and use the most common computer software and tools
• is able to apply basic scientific writing and professional presentation skills in learning assignments
• knows how to obtain knowledge in their learning environment
• is able to plan their studies, time management and career path
• identifies the factors affecting their well-being and knows how to use Metropolia’s student well-being services
• understands sustainable development as part of health care and social services.

In addition, the student
• has basic knowledge of information security and data protection
• knows the best practices of information security in higher education
• is able to handle data and information appropriately in a higher education environment, for example in the context of writing a thesis
• identifies threats to information security and in the cyber world at a basic level of knowledge
• understands the basic principles of the operation of large language models
• is aware of the limitations of artificial intelligence (AI)
• is able to train their own AI model and critically evaluate its performance
• is familiar with different models of AI.
