Objective

The student
• knows the basic concepts of colour and composition and can accurately observe the relationships between colours and the laws of interaction
• can produce colour by mixing and juxtaposing colours
• is able to use colour creatively and appropriately in a variety of sectoral applications.

• Exploring colour phenomena and sensitising visual perception through practical experimental methods
• Production and application of colours in different contexts
• Meaning of colours in different contexts
• Exploration of colour systems and their use in different fields of education
• Communication about colours in a professional way, deepening 'colour literacy' and communication skills
• Basic concepts of colour perception, colour and composition
• Managing colour in the physical and digital environment
• Exploring colour phenomena and sensitising visual perception through practical experiments
• Basic exercises in composition

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student's participation in teaching varies. The student has a satisfactory understanding of colour phenomena and concepts. Students can make satisfactory visual perceptions, understanding the impact of colour perception on the creation of an image or character. Students can satisfactorily apply colour in a variety of contexts. Students have a satisfactory knowledge of colour systems and their applied use. The student knows and can apply the basic rules of composition.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student actively participates in teaching. The student has a good understanding of colour phenomena and concepts. Students can make good visual observations, understanding the influence of colour perception on the creation of an image or character. The student is able to apply colour in a variety of contexts. Students have a good understanding of colour systems and their applied use. The student has a good knowledge of the basic rules of composition.
