Objective

The student
• becomes familiar with experimental design and its interaction with commercial digital design
• expands their understanding of digital works and industry.
• can learn more about topics such as experimental user interfaces, media art, or non-commercial design
• understands and becomes familiar with the use of creative methods in design work
• participates in an experimental project or production.

Content

• Basics of experimental design
• Experimental interfaces, media art and non-commercial design
• Creative methods
• Project work in experimental productions

Location and time

Teaching takes place in contact and partly independently during separately agreed periods, for example during data collection.
Teaching requires 80% attendance in face-to-face teaching.
Course date: October 21, 2025–December 11, 2025 (classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Teaching methods

During the course, the student participates in contact teaching. The student completes individual and group assignments and carries out a project that fits the theme of the broader course. Independent work outside of class.
