Objective

The student
• can plan and implement information graphics and understand the steps of the information visualisation process
• is able to search for and edit the material to be visualised
• is able to use different visualisation methods and the combined use of software required in the process
• understands the ethical principles of information visualisation.

• Information visualisation and motion graphics
• Ethics of the information designer

Location and time

Teaching and assignment feedback are provided in person.
Practice exercises can be completed in any location, provided that the required tools and software are available.

Materials

Participation in the course does not require students to acquire any additional materials or literature.

The student is able to implement infographic implementations that follow the principles of information visualisation for different publishing environments from the data they have searched and filtered.

The student can apply the principles of information visualisation in their infographic implementations for different publishing environments from the data they have searched and filtered. The student's visualisations are clear, understandable and accurate in terms of content.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can independently apply the principles of information visualisation in their infographic implementations for different publishing environments from the data they have searched, filtered and enriched. The student's visualisations will be of high aesthetic quality, clear, understandable and accurate in terms of content.
