Objective

After completing the course, the students are able to:
• grade typical outerwear garments with patternmaking software.
• analyze the grading of details and are able to grade them purposefully.
• draw up graded measurement tables for outerwear based on graded patterns.
• make measurement tables and guidelines for outerwear and their details for outsourced manufacturing.
• understand the relevance of correct sizing of the style and the accuracy of the instructions as part of the quality management in commercialization.
• perceive the diversity of sizing charts used in the industry.

Content

Grading the patterns of typical outerwear. Sizing example styles based on patterns and grading measurement tables based on the body sizing chart. Deepening grading and sizing skills, and learning to make decisions based on these. Getting to know the wide range of different measurement tables and guidelines used in the industry. Understanding the importance of successful sizing and instructions as part of the brand quality management.
