Students can identify development needs in their own field and choose appropriate research methods to address the research question. They are able to find source material. Students know the principles of expository, research and industry-specific writing and they can justify their arguments.

Students can identify development needs in their own field, outline a research topic and choose an appropriate research method to address the research question. They are able to find relevant source material and use the material to form the information basis for their paper. Students can write an academic paper, justify their arguments and present their topic in a clear manner.

They are able to find and critically review relevant source material and use the material comprehensively to form the information basis for their paper. Students can write an academic paper, justify their arguments and present their topic in a clear and informative manner. Students are able to produce new and relevent information for the field of live performance engineering.
