Objective
Operating and cost environment
- Students are familiar with the different ways of organising and providing social and health services and the guiding legislation.
- Students understand the importance of productivity and profitability of organisations and companies’ operations and are able to assess the costs and productivity of operations.
Work community development
- Students understand and know the importance of development and quality in the production of a service.

Entrepreneurship and business organisation
- Students have the basic skills to start a business and also know how to use public advisory services to start a business.

Students master professional concepts, and they justify their choices using the comprehensive knowledge base, based on the client’s needs. Students assess systematically the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.

Excellent 5 = The student demonstrates in the competence assessment items that he/she has a versatile and extensive mastery of the content of the course. He/she has excellent competence in social and health management and entrepreneurship corresponding to the purpose. His/her ability to apply what he/she has learned to the context of working life demonstrates creativity and breadth.
Good 3-4 = The student demonstrates in the competence assessment items that he/she has a good mastery of the content of the course. He/she actively acquires information and interprets its key connections to working life. He/she has the ability to analyse what he/she has learned and apply what he/she has learned to the context of working life.
Satisfactory 1-2 = Based on the learning outcomes, the student demonstrates that he/she has mastered the basic content of the course, but there are shortcomings in the acquisition, interpretation and ability to apply what he/she has learned to the context of working life.
Fail/ 0 = The student has not achieved the learning outcomes of the course. The student has not completed the tasks required for passing the course in accordance with the instructions.
By returning the tasks of the online exam or online implementation, the student assures that his/her demonstration of competence is based on independent work and ethical behavior. Fraud can lead to a fixed-term suspension from the university of applied sciences for up to one year. Act on Universities of Applied Sciences 932/2014, Section 38. To ensure independent competence in the online implementation, the teacher may, at his/her discretion, require demonstration of competence in supervised conditions or in an oral exam. The teacher will inform about the method of demonstration of competence no later than at the beginning of the study.
