Objective

On completion of the course the student
- understands the operating principles and current policies of domestic grant organizations and is able to choose the appropriate funding possibilities for their projects
- is aware of the main Nordic and EU grant organizations in culture and arts
- knows the principles for applying for grants as well as the criteria of a good application
- is able to make a targeted grant application and a grant settlement for a domestic grant organization
- is able to evaluate and develop the application text and grant settlements

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is aware of the principles of the public and private funding organizations. They find funding opportunities for their own projects. The student knows the basic principles of a good application and is able to make an application by following these principles. The student knows how to make a grant settlement.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the principles of the public and private funding organizations and knows how to take those into account when planning and applying for the funding. They recognize a variety of funding opportunities from which they choose the most potential ones to their projects. The student knows the principles of a good application, and is able to apply these when making the application as well as when evaluating the application text. They know how to allocate the application to the particular funding organization and how to make a grant settlement.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows the principles of the public and private funding organizations and takes those into account when planning and applying for the funding. They recognize a variety of funding opportunities from which they choose the most potential ones to their projects and those of others. The student knows the principles of a good application, and is able to diversely and purposefully apply these when making the application as well as when evaluating the application text. They know how to allocate the application to the particular funding organization and how to make a grant settlement.
