Objective
Learning outcomes:
The students are able to justify the importance of occupational therapy in advancing health, well-being and participation. The students evaluate and develop their competence taking into account changes in the operating environment. The students examine the importance of their own personality, attitudes and values in the work of an occupational therapist. The students identify ethical issues related to the work of an occupational therapist. The students reflect on the implementation of the principles of equality and parity in the work of an occupational therapist. The students takes responsibility for their performance and they evaluate the effects of it. The students work with innovative and experimental approach and are flexible to change. The students plan career development in order to maintain and promote their competitiveness as employees and job applicants. The students create social relationships and networks to promote career development. The students market their competence and expertise using different forms of communication. The students assess external and internal straining factors (work stress) affecting their own well-being at work when working as occupational therapists.

The course includes two diffirent part :
part 1 Boost your job seeking and career development (2cr) Student chooses two moduls of this course:
Job search and career planning 1 cr, Labor legislation, employment contracts and salary 1 cr , Future working life skills 1 cr, Competence development and self-management 1 cr , Working life 2030 1 cr
part 2 student work independently (3cr) with Strengthening the Professional Identity of the Occupational Therapist. Discussion smallgroup for discussion .

- search for information from different sources and evaluate their reliability in an appropriate way,
- combine information from different sources into appropriate units as well as
- utilize and apply the knowledge base of the field.

- act in a client-oriented way,
- demonstrate the ability to solve professional tasks and problems as well as
- can justify their own points of view and their own action in a professional manner.
