Quality Management (5 cr)

Objective

Taking normative requirements into account, the student is able to implement and maintain a quality management system. S/he understands quality as a tool for reaching strategic goals.

The student is able to manage development projects, and analyze and improve processes. The student knows the content of the relevant quality management rules and standards and is able to apply those. The student is able to identify target-group-specific requirements and different reference groups.

Interactive online lectures in Teams.
Group and individual assignments in Moodle.

Exam schedules

2 quiz exams.
You have 2 weeks time period to pass one quiz exam.
You have 1 hour time to make the quiz exam, but while the quiz exam is open you may do the exam unlimited number of times during this two weeks period. The highest score will be counted as final.

5 credits is 135 h work
Online sessions 3x3 h = 9h
Individual learning, assignments and group work 126 h

Prerequisites of the participation:
This course is for Master level studies, therefore you should have completed bachelor level studies already.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient performance: has completed basic requirements to pass the course and has made an attempt to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing but has not made enough effort overall. The student has demonstrated little effort, interest and motivation for individual or team activities / assignments and the output is rather weak.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good overall performance: can apply and articulate concepts and information well both verbally and in writing, certain areas of individual or team output require further attention; shows appropriate level of interest and motivation in individual and team activities. Good presentation delivery and analysis.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent performance in all elements of the course: shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support his/her argument with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent presentation delivery and analysis.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
