Objective

The students become familiar with the principles of setting up an enterprise. The students are able to evaluate the feasibility of their business idea. The students know the fundamentals of the economic management of the company, the key taxation policies and statutory obligations. The students understand the responsibilities involved in a supervisory position and can understand supervisory models of behavior and interrelated principles. The students are able to analyze and develop interpersonal skills at work both as an employee and a superior. The students respect and acknowledge diversity in the professional field and they apply principles of equality and parity in their work.

Exam schedules

An alternative method of completing the supervisor skills section is by taking an exam. The exam period begins on December 11, 2025 and ends on March 13, 2026.

There are a maximum of three exam times. The exam correction period is a maximum of 4 weeks.

Student workload

Work required is heavily dependent on students earlier knowledge in the subject.

One credit is approximately 27 hours on students work. This course is 10 credits which means 270 hours of work in average.

The workload is a guideline and gives an indication of the average workload required to achieve the learning outcomes of the course and a grade of 3/5. Depending on the student's previous knowledge and experience, the workload may be less or more. The competence acquired in the course is assessed through assignments and other achievements, not by the number of hours completed.

Content scheduling

Production Skills in Live Performance Engineering 3 is divided into two sections: Supervising skills and Entrepreneurship.

Supervising skills includes distance and face-to-face learning, as well as independent assignments on an online learning platform and an exam option.
The entrepreneurship section is completed independently on an online learning platform.

Further information

It is possible to use artificial intelligence partially in the course. Instructions are task-specific.

Students know the obligations that go with a supervisory position and comprehend the position and significance of a supervisor in a live performance organization. Students can assess and develop their work-related social skills in an advanced way.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course requires 50% attendance during classes. Any absence will result in a separate make-up assignment, which must be completed successfully before the assessment.

Active participation in lectures and lecture assignments allows you to earn additional points, which can be used to increase your course grade.
