Objective
On completion of the course, the student can list the main components of a building, as well as their tasks and functioning. The student can also explain the characteristics of the main construction materials, ways of manufacturing them and their uses in building components.
The student can choose suitable materials, suitable installation techniques and suitable service instructions in different situations.
Based on previously acquired knowledge, the student is able to use information about the appropriate structure types and materials in producing a BIM model, and knows how to use the model at a construction site.

1.Construction materials: wood, concrete, brick, steel, lime stone, light concrete, stone,
insulation materials, aluminium, copper, bitumen, glass, paints and plastering materials

On completion of the course the student can
- name building components and their tasks
- give examples of the characteristics and the uses of main construction materials
- search for information about building materials and products
- produce a building information model with guidance.

In addition to the requirements listed above, the student can
- choose appropriate construction materials for different building components
- explain how to install building components
- produce a BIM model and drawings as well as other documents for a building project.

In addition to the requirements listed above, the student can
- choose appropriate products for different building components and explain how they are installed and maintained.

On completion of the course the student can
