Objective
The student knows the basic goals and usual tasks of structural design and the role of structural design in a construction project. He knows the starting points of structural design, such as building regulations, the guidelines of the Ministry of the Environment and the Eurocodes. He knows the guidelines for structural planning documents. The student can draw a structural drawing based on the instructions. He knows the most common frame systems and the principles of limit states dimensioning in structural design. He knows the basics of load calculation (own weight, payload, wind load, snow load and load combinations) used in the dimensioning of load-bearing structures.

The student knows the structural design tasks and goals and the instructions for related documents. He knows the principles of limit state dimensioning and knows how to calculate the loads used in dimensioning in a simple case.

The student knows the structural design tasks and goals and the instructions for related documents. He knows the principles of limit state dimensioning and knows how to calculate the loads and load combinations used in dimensioning in normal cases. He is able to apply the guidelines for structural planning documents when creating documents.

He is able to draw a structural drawing with the help of instructions and calculate the loads used in dimensioning.
