Objective
The student is able to analyze the operation of heat pumps in a versatile way. The student knows the refrigerant situation and knows how to take it into account in his / her design solutions. The student is able to present the principles by which energy can be recycled or transferred to the district heating network with heat pump. The student is able to describe the main principles of geothermal energy storage and simulate and dimension the energy well field with the EED program.
Content
Thermodynamic and functional basics of heat pumps. Legislation related to heat pumps. Design and dimensioning of a heat pump plant in a building. Recycling energy with heat pump and transfer to district heating network. Design, simulation and dimensioning of energy well fields. Short and long term geothermal storage of energy.
