Objective

The student will be familiar with the central concepts of electrical engineering as well as the principles of safe structure and protection of electrical devices; the electrical devices used in residential spaces with their graphic symbols and know the principles of their functional connectivity. Furthermore, the student will know when a task must be taken over by a qualified professional.

The student will be familiar with the principles of graphic representation of electrical equipment and functional connectivity of devices with a voltage of 230 V used in residential spaces, and will know the principles and parties in the supply chain for electrical power. The students are able to draft the documents for designing, operating and maintaining the electrical systems in residential building as instructed.

Content

Principles of safe construction and protection of electrical devices
Requirements for the competence of electrical engineering design and electrical installations. Electric drawing symbols. Structure of the property's electricity distribution network. Information contents of the electrical plan and electrical drawings. Electrical and IT equipment of living quarters. Lighting control connections. Sizing of cables and fuses in a family house, Cabling and grouping of a family house. Technical documentation of the electrical systems using CAD and BIM tools. Electrification of HVAC equipment and coordination of plans.
