Objective
After having completed the course the student knows the different sectors of community development and understands the multifacetedness of communities. The student can recognize different viewpoints on community planning and can combine them together. The student can structure processes that are related to the creation, development and operation of communities. The student can evaluate the impacts different phenomena and events have on the development of communities and land use planning, and create convincing outlooks and scenarios.
Content
The interplay between land use and society from the viewpoint of philosophy, history and culture, environment, economy, technology, urban planning and future; the central concepts and processes in them; rehearsal of discussing, reporting and forecasting skills related to land use planning.
