Use of AI in the Course:
Please note that learning assignments must utilize sources that are relevant to the course objectives and/or specifically defined. AI may be used as a tool to support independent thinking. However, assignments cannot be entirely generated by AI. If AI is used in learning tasks, this must be clearly documented.
Guidelines can be found in OMA
AHOT:
Applications must be submitted to the course's responsible teacher, who will assess the prior learning (process the application). The recognition of prior learning follows Metropolia’s guidelines, degree regulations, and study instructions in a two-phase process. After processing the application, the responsible teacher forwards it to the degree coordinator for final approval.
If a student has an approved AHOT-decision for the course, they will act as a coach for 1–2 project teams.
Depending on the semester and the number of available coaches, some or all project teams may have the opportunity to utilize peer expertise through coaching.
Each coach is assigned 1–2 project teams. Coaches agree among themselves on how to divide the mentoring responsibilities. Interest guides the selection process.
The supervising teacher is the primary contact for any questions related to collaboration with working life, team dynamics, and project completion. The teacher also provides content-related support.
The coach's role involves sharing practical knowledge, experiential insights, and current perspectives on working life.
Coaching process: 2–3 mentoring sessions per group. After each session, the coach must send a summary of the session’s content via email to the teacher.
Course Structure:
4 ECTS of the course is completed as a memory work project (Muistityön projekti).
1 ECTS consists of contact teaching and preliminary assignments.
Degree students will complete a project.
Open university students will participate in contact teaching and complete an extensive written assignment as their learning task.
