Objective

The students
-know how to set modality-specific learning targets for training, suited to their personal skill level
-are able to describe, self-evaluate and develop their skills and learning
-are able to interact with and guide patients in different interaction situations on the patients' terms
-are able to prepare patients for an imaging examination or intervention
-know how to go about imaging examinations safely, and apply their expertise in them

Teaching methods

Course includes guided clinical placement 4,5 credits (3 weeks), that is reserved according to instructions of the degree programme. Clinical placement goals must be approved by the supervising teacher on the first week of training. You must take account course aims and modality specific aims in making of your own goals for training. You write a learning journal during your training in Workseed.
Tasks relating to professional ethics must be done in Moodle (0,5 credits). Moodle page named Clinical Practice II Fall 2025 will be opened on 18.8.2025.

Student workload

One week in clinical placement is 40 hours of work. Independent tasks will take about 13 hours

Content scheduling

You can not replace this course with work experience. Theoretical studies relating to your placement must be done before the beginning of the course.

It is not allowed to use or distribute any tasks, assignments or MATERIALS
in any other way than in the student's own studies. Distributing ONLY with
the teacher's personal permission.
