Objective

The student is able to use the basic software needed in engineering studies and knows the basics of programming. The student is able to use the computer to solve mathematical, physical and technical problems. The student is able to interpret and report results in writing. The student is able to apply technical reporting tools, textual and visualisation techniques to report writing and other documentation in the field. The student is able to use relevant sources of information and to acquire and use information in the field in accordance with the objectives. The student is familiar with meeting practices. The student will be able to work as a member of a working and project team. The student knows and can apply written and oral project communication practices. The student is able to evaluate and develop his/her own communication skills on the basis of feedback. The student is familiar with the use of artificial intelligence as a tool.

- Using appropriate software and artificial intelligence to solve problems
- Introduction to programming: syntax, variables, programs, subroutines, conditions, loops, testing
- Visualisation of information and using pictures and tables.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to acquire knowledge in his/her field for professional practice. The student can prepare documents according to the given guidelines and templates and work as a member of a project team under supervision. The student is able to participate in various presentations and interactions and to receive and give feedback. The student is familiar with software in his/her field. The student is aware of the limitations of the use of AI.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to prepare documents with appropriate content and language. The student can acquire information critically and diversely from different professional sources and use it in a manner appropriate to the text type and is able to communicate orally as an expert in his/her field in a clear, interesting and appropriate way using observation tools. The student is able to act purposefully in different roles in group communication situations and to contribute to group activities. The student is able to evaluate his/her own and others' communication and to set communication development objectives. The student is able to use artificial intelligence as part of his/her own work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to produce professional documents, acquire and apply knowledge independently and competently to produce new professional perspectives and communicate as an expert in his/her field in a convincing and effective manner. The student works actively and goal-oriented for the benefit of the project and the team. The student is willing and able to develop communication skills as part of his/her expertise and to provide varied feedback.
