Objective

Upon completion of the course students will be able to conduct analyses of business behaviour. The student will be able to evaluate economic policy measures and economic forecasts. The student will be able to relate economic variables to business strategy

Oppimateriaalin rungon muodostavat talouskurssi.fi - sivuston materiaali ja luennoitsijan luentoihin liittyvät luentokalvot ja muu mahdollinen materiaali.

Lisäksi käytetään osia CORE-teamin materiaalista: The Economy /Talous: www.core-econ.org/the-economy (luettavissa ilmaiseksi netissä)

Teaching methods

Kurssi koostuu itseopiskelusta, harjoituksista ja luennoista.

Opiskelija opiskelee ensin itsenäisesti talouskurssi.fi:n viikon aihepiiriä koskevan materiaalin ja tekee siinä olevat tehtävät (näitä ei arvostella). Opiskelija voi nostaa esille mahdollisesti vaikeita/kiinnostavia asioita seuraavalle luennolle.

Luennot tiistai-iltaisin täydentävät ja syventävät itseopiskeltua talouskurssi.fi:n materiaalia.
Lisäksi kurssiin kuuluvat luennoitsijan antamat viikottaiset arvosteltavat harjoitukset (7 kpl), jotka palautetaan moodleen ennen seuraavaa luentokertaa, jonka yhteydessä ratkaisut pääsääntöisesti käsitellään.

Exam schedules

Kurssitentti on viimeisen luentokerran yhteydessä (ma 10.3). Uusinnat toteutetaan EXAM-järjestelmän kautta.

Student workload

Oppituntien osuus on 28 h, oppimistehtävien osuus 40 h ja muu itsenäinen työskentely 50 h.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas. The student is able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. The student is able to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply his/her knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.

Assessment methods and criteria

Lopputentti - 65 % arvosanasta
Läsnäolo - 5% arvosanasta, jos vähintään viidellä luentokerralla (5/7) on oltu paikalla.
Harjoituksista 30% arvosanasta. Viikottaisista harjoituksista (7 kpl) saa max 5 pistettä kustakin + yhteensä kuitenkin enintään 30 p.
