Objective

The student is able to plan and execute instructional situations for clients and groups that support and promote self-care utilizing appropriate didactive solutions. The student is able to produce applicable material that meets client’s needs. The student recognizes the most common musculoskeletal illnesses that impact lower extremities and is able to recognize the aetiology and differential diagnoses. The student becomes competent in evaluation, prevention, rehabilitation, treatment methods, and in instructing a client. The student understands the significance of collaboration with other professionals treating musculoskeletal clients. The student is able to identify health-threatening "red flag" -symptoms and knows how to guide the client towards further treatment.

The student is knowledgeable of therapeutic exercise, principles of joint mobilization, and understands their indication in the rehabilitation of different lower extremity problems.

- Acute and stress injuries
- Etiology of musculoskeletal disorders

- Prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders
- Arthrosis
- Osteoporosis
- Respiratory, vascular, lymphatic, genital and intestinal symptoms a podiatrist must react to
- Red flags
- Basics of therapeutic training and joint mobilisation
- Motor control and learning
