Objective

The student understands the importance of a holistic approach in evaluating human functional capacity. The student is able to describe the importance of meeting the client, knows how to act in interactive situations and can utilise interviews as a method of collecting data in a client meeting. The student is familiar with and knows how to use the most common metrics of functional capacity and quality of life. The student can describe the biomechanics and balance of the upright body position and applies them as part of their observations. The student can evaluate the client’s upright position, joint mobility and muscular activity. The student can utilise metrics as part of an examination and evaluation and is able to assess the reliability of the metrics and measurements.
