Teams will work with real-life cases together with an organization from public or private sector. Teams will create digital services for the future users of a wellbeing business. Several service design methods will be utilized to gain information about potential customers, existing services in the field, competitive environment, and the partner organization. These methods can include interviews, observation, customer journeys, personas, and stakeholder analyses. To be able to ideate and foresee the future needs, teams will practise with different kind of innovation and ideation tools. In order to create concrete service concepts, the teams will apply service business model canvas and other tools to visualize and conceptualize the idea.

The course will take five days and students are expected to work during 8.30-16.00 daily.
Schedule:
1st day: Introductions, group forming
2nd day: Sprint
3rd day: Sprint
4th day: Sprint
5th day: Presentations, closing the sprint
There might be some changes and adjustments to this schedule, which would be announced during the first class.
Lisätietoja opiskelijoille
Student Enrolment starts on 6th May 2024 and ends on 26th May 2024. After enrollment is finnished students will receive a wellcome letter with specific instructions and dates. A pre-assignment needs to be completed before the course starts. Pre-assignment instructions will be available in Moodle and the deadline for the submission is around two weeks before the DWS start date. The course will be conducted online. Joint meetings are held on Zoom daily. Miro is used for the collaboration, and it is an online collaborative whiteboard platform that enables distributed teams to work effectively together, from brainstorming with digital sticky notes to planning and managing agile workflows. Miro is easy and fun to use. Notice that a computer is needed to access and use Miro. During the course some digital design and prototyping tools are presented and used.
