Objective

The student is aware of current domestic and global development priorities and future trends in the field of building service engineering. The student knows how to search for additional information on current topics. The student knows how to analyze materials critically and is able to produce written material and presentation material from them.

Content

Energy transition and carbon neutrality. Current national and international research and development projects in building service engineering. New national laws, regulations and instructions affecting HVAC technology. The effects of Finland's and the EU's climate and energy policy on the building service engineering industry. Other current issues in building technology.
