Objective

Students will be able to use software in order to produce reports, documents, visual presentations, calculations, charts and understand basic functions and importance of cloud services. Students are able to search and interpret text which have IT related content and communicate concepts effectively.

- Basics of spreadsheet
- Word processing and document management
- Basics of computing concepts and vocabulary
- Basics of presentation graphics
- Basic features of e-mail, Information systems and databases
- Basics of cloud services

Location and time

The course is a fully online course with videos presentations by the lecture and practical walkthrough videos. Video conference times will be according to the timetable and scheduling.

The course work is completed by each student individually.

All learning materials and literature will be provided through Moodle

Content scheduling

Scheduling will be according to the time table. There will be three virtual lectures whose dates will be announced at the beginning of the course. Student attendance to virtual lectures is compulsory.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas.The student is able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. The student is able to apply their knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks.The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models.The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply their knowledge in leisure, study and work situations.The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below 50%- Fail

Grade 1: 50-59%
Grade 2: 60-69%
Grade 3: 70-79%
Grade 4: 80-89%
Grade 5: 90-100%

Final results: 40% from exam and 60% from assignment and quizze.
The student must obtain at least 50% in the exam in order to pass the course.
