Basics of Mathematics (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student has the fundamental skills and knowledge in mathematics required for adopting professional contents.

Content

Simplifying expressions. Solving basic equations in construction industry. Linear and quadratic functions. Solving systems of equations. Trigonometric functions. Vectors. 2D and 3D geometry. Proportionality. Exponential function and logarithm.

Assessment methods and criteria

Arviointi perustuu kahteen välikokeeseen sekä laskettuihin kotitehtäviin.
Läpäisyehto: Välikokeista on saatava yhteensä 40 % maksimipisteistä; lisäksi vähintään 30 % kummastakin välikokeesta. Kotitehtävistä on tehtävä vaadittava minimimäärä.
