Objective

The students
- can explain their diverse learning environments
- can describe the key guidelines, rules, and study practices at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
- can plan their own study paths and recognize the influencing factors on their planning
- can explain the required work and study habits by the degree
- recognize their own strengths, needs for development and their impact on the studies
- recognize the most common programs and systems needed in the studies
- recognize the key principles of data protection and data security
- recognize work life opportunities provided by the degree
- can explain the competence produced by the degree
- have sufficient abilities to act in situations requiring medical emergency first aid

- Rules and regulations for studying at the University of Applied Sciences
- Library services and the basics of information search
- Curriculum and planning the studies (AHOT, HOPS)
- Principles and methods of learning in the degree programme
- Key digital tools and information systems used in learning and working in the degree program
- Recognizing study related strengths and needs for development
- Basics of data protection and security
- Competence produced by the degree programme and work life possibilities
- Medical emergency first aid
