Objective

Students know the equipment of live performance sound systems. They know the properties, potential uses, operational principles and special requirements of the relevant devices. Students can apply the knowledge base of the profession to simple sound systems. Students are able to accurately interpret sound system documentation. The students understand performance technology as a part of live performance production and understand the job requirements in the field. Students are aware of the inherent safety risks and can take them into account while using the systems.

Content

- Sound technology related systems, devices and their operating principles
- Sound system software, signal transfer and network solutions
- Sound system design principles
- Symbols and markings in sound documentation
- Safety risks and practices regarding the systems

Evaluation scale

0-5
