Learning outcomes

The student understands the basic principles of electricity production and transmission. They can calculate simple power, current and impedance calculations in direct current and alternating current circuits. The student understands how the electricity distribution of buildings is usually implemented and knows how to safely connect to it with presentation technology devices and systems. The student knows how to find and calculate the power needs of presentation technology equipment and plan the distribution of presentation technology electricity. They understand the operating principles of analog and digital signals and knows how to solve problems caused by various types of interference for signals and devices in presentation technology.

Content

Electrical engineering in live performance technology is a course on the basics and applications of electrical engineering in the professional field. After studying the basic quantities and physical basis of electricity, the course teaches you how to calculate loads, design temporary low-voltage networks for live performance technology, and familiarize yourself with electrical control and data signals in presentation technology.

The course includes self-study material, practice tasks and remote guidance for completing the tasks.
