Objective

The student learns about digital image processing software and methods. The student is able to create different graphic materials by using different software.

Content

During the course, the student will work on a visual design project that will include graphics, vectors, images, and text.
The lectures and tutorials of the course will cover:
- Basics of vector graphics and image editing software
- Production of presentation material
- File formats and colour systems
- Printed and digital media
- Creating and editing textures in 2D software
- The use of HDRI images in 3D software

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to use digital image processing software and techniques and is familiar with the different types of graphic materials that can be produced through such software. The student completes the assignments and the final project.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to use digital image processing software and techniques fluently. The student completes the course assignments and final project successfully while being able to choose the most suitable software and techniques for their design.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to use digital image processing software and techniques skillfully and come up with different creative graphic design solutions for their assignments and final project. The student completes the assignments and final project with particular merit.
