Objective
The student knows the goals of social aspects of sustainable development and understands its overview. The student understands the relationship between media content and inequality.
The student is able to view the media from the perspective of maintaining and dismantling social inequality and understands the relationship of their own work to issues of equality.
The student learns to understand the relationship of global and local in terms of social change and equality. The student is able to acknowledge elements that support structures of inequality in factual and fictional narratives.
Lectures and workshops allow the students to understand their own position as a content maker.
Content
The course consists of a series of lectures and workshops.
The lecture series introduces the students to aspects of inequality from several local and global viewpoints.
The workshops allows students to practise, exercise and take into consideration issues of equality and inequality in content production.
