Leading Learning in the Workplace (5 ECTS)

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student:
• knows what work-based learning is and how it can be implemented and developed
• understands how work-based learning can be used as part of the overall competence management approach
• is able to produce a work-based learning plan that supports the achievement of the organisation's strategic objectives
• can identify the most appropriate methods of work-based learning for themselves and can also guide the work-based learning of others
• can evaluate work-based learning and guide others in evaluating their own learning.

Opintojaksoon voi ilmoittautua lokakuuhun 2024 saakka. Opintojakson tehtävään on kevätlukukaudella seuraavat palautuspäivät (ja tehtävät arvioidaan kolmen viikon sisällä alla mainitusta palautuspäivästä):
31.3. ja 31.5.
Syyslukukauden palautuspäivät ovat (ja tehtävät arvioidaan kolmen viikon sisällä alla mainitusta palautuspäivästä):
30.9. ja 30.11.
Suunnittelethan palautukset niin, että saat arvioinnin ajoissa omaan tavoiteaikatauluusi nähden!

Opintojakson materiaali löytyy Moodlesta. Materiaalia on varsin suuri määrä ja siihen perehtyminen vaatii aikaa. Huolellinen perehtyminen näkyy meille opettajille erityisesti lopputehtävän laadussa :)

Opintojakson kuormitus on seuraava:
Metropolian Moodleen ja opiskeluympäristöön tutustuminen 4 h
Opintojakson materiaaleihin tutustuminen ja itseopiskelu 85 h
Reflektiotehtävät ja verkkokeskustelut 5 h
Muut osatehtävät 5 h
Lopputehtävä 30 h (tiedonkeruu, analyysi, raportointi)
Opintojaksopalaute 1 h

Assessment methods and criteria

Opiskelija on suorittanut opintojakson oppimistehtävät ja osoittanut niissä hallitsevansa opintojakson keskeiset sisällöt. Opiskelija on osoittanut kirjallisuudesta, luennoilta ja muista lähteistä hankkimansa tiedon ja käytänteiden soveltamiskykyä työelämää analysoivissa ja kehittävissä tehtävissä.

The student
• has achieved the objectives of the course to a satisfactory level
• is able to identify, define and use concepts and models in the subject area of the course
• understands the conditions and principles of the development of expertise.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• has achieved the objectives of the course well, although there are still areas where knowledge and skills need to be improved
• has a good understanding of the concepts and models of the subject matter of the course and is able to carry out a reasoned analysis
• is able to apply what they have learned in leisure, learning and working life situations
• understands the importance of expertise in business and is able to analyse their own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks
• has an excellent command of the concepts and models of the subject matter of the course
• is able to analyse clearly and reasonably and propose practical development measures
• has a good ability to apply what they have learned in leisure, learning and working life situations
• is able to analyse expertise in business and their own development towards expertise.
