Objective

The purpose of the course is to strengthen the student’s competence in digitalisation as a phenomenon in the health care and social services sector, as well as in its key concepts, the factors driving its operations and its key digitalisation projects. In addition, the purpose is to strengthen competence from the perspective of expertise in the digital health care and social services of the future.

The student understands the key concepts of digitalisation in health care and social services and is able to explain the phenomena behind various developments. The student is familiar with the principles of service systems and the key national digitalisation projects, and recognises areas in need of development in digital services. In addition to existing services, the student is also aware of alternate future developments in digital services and is able to evaluate the opportunities offered by digitalisation as part of the development of the health care and social services sector.

The student demonstrates that they have a good understanding of the content of the course. They actively acquire information and interpret the key connections between different pieces of information. The student has the ability to analyse what they have learned and to apply it in practice.
