Optical Fair (2 ECTS)

Objective

Students will deepen their expertise in optical science by visiting the international optical industry fair. The aim is to get a clear picture of the current spectacle frame fashion, research facilities and other developments in the field of optical field.

Teaching methods

Students participate in optical fair (Mido in the spring or Silmo in the fall) and familiarize themselves with the fair's offerings. The students make a presentation on a topic given by the teacher and present their work later in a suitable course. The student pays and books flights and accommodation in advance, and there is an opportunity to apply for a short student exchange grant from Metropolia.

International connections

Familiarization with international trade fairs in the optical sector.

Travel and accommodation costs are at your own expense. There is also an opportunity to apply for the Metropolia short exchange grant.
