Objective

The student is able to describe the performance of anti-corrosion and product painting. He identifies impurities in steel surfaces and knows how to choose the right cleaning method for them. He can describe the protection principles of anti-corrosion paints. He is able to choose appropriate pre-treatment methods, painting systems and paint application methods. He / she is able to present the factors that affect the quality of the surface treatment and perform the inspections and measurements required for quality control and product testing. He is able to take into account the requirements related to occupational and environmental safety in anti-corrosion and product painting. He can calculate the tender for an anti-corrosion painting contract and can describe the tender process.
The student is able to describe the components of paints and adhesives and the phenomena on which their function is based, and to apply their skills in tasks related to painting and gluing.
The student is able to describe the principles of corrosion protection of hot dip coatings and the performance of hot dip processes. The student is able to explain the importance of immersion temperature and holding time as well as different pretreatments in coating. He is able to take into account the effect of steel alloys on the properties of the formed coating. He knows how to avoid poor and dangerous structural solutions for hot-dip coating. The student is able to describe the mechanical, corrosion and paint properties of a hot-dip galvanized steel surface.

1. The student is able to describe the concepts and phenomena related to the operation of paints and adhesives at the definition level.
2. The student is able to name the impurities on steel surfaces and is able to describe their cleaning methods.
3. The student is able to define what a painting system involves.
4. The student is able to describe paint application methods and their main differences.
5. The student is able to define different hot immersion processes and their stages.
6. The student identifies the variables that affect the hot immersion process and the appropriate structures.
7. The student is able to list the most important properties of hot dip coatings as well as post-treatments and their effects

1. The student is able to define or describe concepts and phenomena related to the operation of paints and adhesives in his own words; on which the phenomena, the causal relationships between them and the formulas related to them are based.
2. The student is able to define climatic stress classes and rust rates.
3. The student is able to identify the degree of metal surface preparation.
4. The student is able to describe the mechanisms by which paints protect a metal surface.
5. The student is able to define the stages involved in the implementation of painting work.
6. The student is able to describe the inspection activities related to the performance of the painting.
7. The student is able to name the main properties of the paint surface to be inspected.
8. The student is able to describe the safety risks associated with anti-corrosion painting and the means to protect against them.
9. The student is able to perform various hot immersion treatments.
10. The student identifies structures suitable for the hot immersion process.

1. The student is able to explain the significance of phenomena related to the operation of paints and adhesives for practical applications and apply their knowledge in practice.
2. The student is able to choose an appropriate painting system.
3. The student is able to perform inspections related to the quality control of painting and testing of the paint surface and to draw up inspection reports.
4. The student is able to calculate the costs of anti-corrosion painting work steps and materials and make an offer for anti-corrosion painting work.
5. The student is able to design different hot dipping processes and study the effects of variables on coating results.
