Objective

The student is able to identify the stages of process design and the knowledge required at different design stages and calculate the technical and financial performance of the process.

The student learns to make process diagrams from the source data, to find out the balance sheets of the process, to perform the selection of the main equipment and process technical dimensions using design software.

The student is able to take into account plant safety and sustainable development in process planning and to choose environmentally friendly solutions.

Content

1. Basics of process design
2. Computer programs in process design
3. Lifecycle of the plant design project
4. Main standards in process design
