Objective
On completion of the course, the student understands how procurement influences the economic outcome of a project.
The student can create documents related to procurement.
The student can estimate how procurements and schedule changes will affect the budget.
The student can use EDI software.
The student understands how site logistics influence the construction project.
On completion of the course, the student should at least be able to do the following: name the main aspects of cost control in a construction project, describe the progress of competitive bidding and the required documents, categorise site costs and list the phases of cost control.
The student can perform calculations related to quantity surveying and pricing on the basis of a call for tenders.
