Objective

You will learn energy storage, battery technology, and electric mobility, as well as the interconnectedness of these three subject areas at the system level. You know the basics of various technologies for storing electrical energy, ranging from pumped-storage facilities to fuel cell systems and batteries. You will understand the scalability, weaknesses, and strengths of different systems.

Content

1. Characteristics of different battery technologies
2. Design principles of battery systems for various energy storage applications
3. Industry regulations and standards, as well as safety considerations in the design of both battery systems and their integration with the grid
4. Fundamentals of electric mobility, as well as integration solutions for electric energy storage and electric transportation

Evaluation scale
