- is familiar with the strategies, programmes and current trends related to promoting mental health
- identifies prevention and promotion
- applies evidence-based mental health promotion methods
- identifies ethical issues related to mental health care promotion, and understands the effect of stigma on individuals and communities
- understands the importance of participation and exclusion to individuals and communities
- understands the significance of early interaction and is familiar with the use of early-intervention methods (trauma orientation, intergenerational transmission, Let's Talk about Children method, Early Interaction method)

Prevention and promotion
Methods of evidence-based mental health promotion methods and applying them

Teaching methods
Guided study online in the Learn learning environment. The course includes online lectures (ZOOM) and a written learning task done as individual work or in a small group. Teaching in cooperation with Southeastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK)

Open master degree program student requires the same learning capabilities as master's degree students (The Master’s Degree Programme is based on a previous bachelor’s degree in nursing, midwifery, public health nursing, emergency care, radiography and radiotherapy, oral hygiene, biomedical laboratory science or other applicable degree of higher education as well as three years of work experience in the field in question) Students themselves responsible for ensuring that he has the necessary study skills: the use of e-learning tools, to promote learning to read articles, search and work-oriented knowledge learning tasks.
