Objective
The students
- understand the physical and technical basics of ultrasound imaging and mammography examination
- are able to perform mammography in a patient-oriented way and in accordance with good image criteria
- know the necessary preparations for ultrasound and mammography examinations
- are able to guide the patient in ultrasound examinations and procedures
- are able to work in a team to carry out ultrasound examinations and procedures
- are able to handle laboratory samples appropriately
- are familiar with the anatomical structures and basic principles of operation of the thorax and abdomen
- understand the clinical pathway of a breast cancer patient

Advanced anatomy I
The physical and technical basics of ultrasound imaging and mammography equipment
Clinical laboratory tests and handling of laboratory samples
Mammography examinations and related procedures
Commonest ultrasound examinations and related procedures
Quality assurance in ultrasound and mammography examinations
Evaluation of mammography image quality, and dose optimisation
Mammography and ultrasound training at the UAS 1 ECTS
