Objective

The students
*are familiar with the key legislation related to quality management
*understand the key concepts related to quality management
*understand the importance of quality management for patient safety
*understand the importance and principles of self-assessment and clinical auditing
*are able to implement and analyse functional and technical quality assurance
*know the principles of radiation protection in X-ray rooms
*understand the role of the radiographer in the quality management process
*are able to communicate as an expert in various research and development work
*are familiar with the fundamentals of scientific writing

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is approved if the student has completed all the laboratories and assignments related to the course and has demonstrated sufficient competence through a self-assessment task.

Qualifications

Prerequisite studies:
Clinical practice in plain imaging examinations 10 ECTS
Patient in computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging examinations 10 ECTS
