Objective

Learning outcomes
As a student you can describe the structures, functions and disorders of the human defence system and explain the antigen-antibody reaction. You are able to explain the pre-analytical requirements of immunochemical assays and their clinical significance. You are able to perform the most common immunochemical definitions and understand the principles of their functioning, while also assessing the reliability of results.
You understand the principle behind vaccination and are familiar with the general features of the Finnish vaccination programme.

Assignments must be returned on time, in order to be evaluated during the course. It is not possible to raise assignment evaluation.

To pass the whole course a student must pass all the assignments and the final exam.
