Intelligent working methods and self-management in oral health care (5 cr)

Objective

Student
- identifies the importance and economic impact of well-being at work for the individual and the organization of oral health care
- identifies aspects of well-being at work in oral health care
- understands the role of the individual as a member of the work community and a component of well-being at work
- is able to act as part of a multidisciplinary team
- understands the importance of interaction, continuous learning and knowledge sharing for the well-being of the work community
- is able to take care of the impact of the oral care work environment on well-being at work and occupational safety
- understands the importance of physical exertion in the work of an oral hygienist, is able to take measures to reduce it and improve the ergonomics of one's own work
- acquires skills as an oral hygienist in self-management, self-direction and development of internal motivation
- is able to develop well-being at work in oral health care at both the individual and organizational level

5 op opintojaksoon kuuluvat seuraavat osat a 1 op:

OSA 1. Työhyvinvointi ja työkyky suun terveydenhuollossa
OSA 2. Työyhteisö- ja tiimityötaidot
OSA 3. Työympäristön suunnittelu ja suuhygienistin ergonominen työskentely
OSA 4. Itsensä johtaminen suuhygienistin työssä
OSA 5. Työhyvinvoinnin kehittäminen suun terveydenhoitotyössä

Kaikkien osien sisältöjä käsitellään suun terveydenhuollon näkökulmasta.

Further information

The student confirms his/her participation in the course by being present at the beginning of the first lesson or by agreeing on it with the teacher in other ways.

Approved course requires active presence and attendance to all parts of the course.
Compulsory attendance in all lessons and practice. Students responsibility is to take care of her/his own accomplishments and replace the absence from lessons.
