Objective

The students have internalized the importance of being social in multidisciplinary work. They work in collaboration with different actors so that individuals and groups / communities become active in influencing their own lives.
The students are able to apply their professional skills in various operating environments. The students are able to support the empowerment of clients in a client-oriented manner. The students are able to act as representatives of the social field in the work community.

Content

Internship in an operating environment, where socio-pedagogical work is facilitated. The internship can be executed as an international exchange.
Those in the Early Childhood Education path will do their internship in a field other than early education.

Materials

Guiding materials are readily available. Students look for literature to support their written assignments independently.

Internship as well as written and oral reflections related to it.

Employer connections

Internship is takes place on the premises of the working life partner in an operating environment, where socio-pedagogical work is carried out. Considering the aims of the internship, it is important that there is a possibility to do client work. Students are responsible for finding the working life partner themselves.

Student workload

Students are expected to find the internship place themselves. During the internship, work is contiuous and full-time.

* Basics of Ethics in Social Services, Empowerment and Challenges of Work

Those in the Early Childhood Education path must do their internship in a field other than early childhood education.
